Mandolay Hotel Guildford, Guildford

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although small, were decent overall; however, they became quite humid and stuffy during the hot day and warm evening. The service was friendly for the most part, but a noisy encounter with chatting staff outside my room early on a Sunday morning was a downside. The location was ideal for exploring Guildford and nearby attractions, offering a comfortable setting for my visits. The dining experience, while the food was good, took a bit too long to reach me and seemed overpriced. The facilities were satisfactory but nothing exceptional.

Even though the hotel had some noise issues due to a nearby wedding reception and a lack of air conditioning making the room hot, the stay was made more pleasant with the provided Bose sound bar. The location was perfect for exploring the town, with a few drawbacks in terms of rush hour traffic and sound separation in the Coach House. The dining experience was mixed, with some disorganization but polite staff. The staff's service varied greatly, from unhelpful reception lies to extremely helpful and friendly assistance.
